We are actively recruiting graduate students from a diverse array of programs, including Genetics, Genomics & Bioinformatics, Cell, Molecular & Developmental Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Biophysics, among others. Additionally, we are seeking to appoint postdoctoral fellows, research associates, and staff scientists possessing expertise in virology, bioengineering, and mathematical modeling. Virology at UCR: Mammalian virology research at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) encompasses a broad range of studies focused on understanding viral infections, pathogenesis, and host-virus interactions in mammals. Research labs at UCR are involved in cutting-edge projects that include the development of antiviral therapies, vaccines, and diagnostic tools, leveraging advanced molecular and cellular techniques along with our state-of-the art Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3 and ABSL3) lab, we also benefit from the School of Medicine at UCR and neighboring hospitals.
